It's been a long time.....

Well, it's been almost forever since I've been here.  2005 finished out well enough, we went through the holidays as usual.

The big disappointment for 2005 was finding out we weren't going to be going to Bolivia on a work team.  Barry did go to Papua New Guinea on a work team in January but the rest of us have to wait till 2007 to go anywhere.

Have you ever heard of My Points?  It's this neat little program where you earn points by looking at web pages and shopping online.  I joined sometime last year and I've earned  over 1700 points already!  I haven't cashed them in yet because I want to make sure I really get what I want.  I've been looking at different areas as to what I might cash them in on.  It's not hard at all to do and actually it's rather fun watching your points build up.

Well, here's what we're all up to.  Barry is still working for Elwood Brown, Inc., I'm still at home - watching my 2 nieces during the day.  Ashley is currently at Giant but she's planning to take over babysitting the 2 little girls.  Kimberly is working at HPI as is Mike.  Kim also is helping out with some filing at an orthodontist office.  Andrew is still at home, counting the days till he can go to work.  Don't these kids know that work comes soon enough?

We're going to have company the end of April.  Dan & Peggy Zimmerman (our missionary hosts in Bolivia) will be staying with us for about a week.  We're looking forward to spending time with them.

Well, I must go so I can accomplish other things before it's time to retire for the night.

Yesterday's weather was absolutely wonderful for spending the day in the pool.  I am more colorful today but oh well....

I can't believe that July is soon over....where has the summer been rushing off to?  It seems as though the kids are all growing up too fast too.  Ashley is babysitting 2 of her cousins - at least for a while.  Kim is still the receptionist at HPI, Michael now works at HPI also.  That leaves Andrew at home with me.  He's bored most of the time.

The boys went to Youth camp for a week earlier this month.  Mike got Sr. Camper of the year and he returned with a girlfriend.  Kim bought a new(er) car - a 2002 Saturn, it's really nice.

August looks as though it's going to busy, busy, busy.  Then it's on to September and back to school for the boys.  Soon my days as homeschool mom will be over.

Looking forward to returning to Cochabamba, Bolivia in 2006.

That's all for now.

Well, today's another very nice day.  The temperature is around 80 or so.  Tomorrow's to be a different story though - calling for a high of 68.  I'd rather have the warmer days.  It wouldn't hurt if there was a bit of rain.

Did the grocery shopping today.  Yippee... I guess now we'll be able to eat for another week. HA, HA.

Ashley got a job yesterday.  She'll be working in Lewisburg at Steininger's.  Hopefully she'll like it.

Not much other than that.

Well, I guess it's been awhile since I was on this and updated.  Yesterday was Kimberly's 18th birthday.  I can't believe that my kids are getting so old.  It just doesn't seem possible to have kids as old as they are.  Andrew turned 14 in March, Michael will be 16 the end of May, and Ashley will turn 20 in June!!  My age - I'm not giving that out!!  No, I will be 40 this year - that's also hard to believe!!

The weather has been pretty nice of late.  A little windy today but nothing fierce.  The kids got me a Crabapple tree for mother's day.  (No, it doesn't mean they think I'm a crab - I asked for this tree.)

That's all for now.

Well, we are backin the States for 3 whole days now.  We took our third trip to Cochabamba, Bolivia.  It's been a good trip with about 10,000 bricks being laid.  We got to interact with alot of the nationals this year since there was a youth retreat, district pastor's conference, unified church service, etc.  We are looking to returning again soon (maybe 2006).  The weather was teriffic - rain at night and sun during the day.  I think everyone should go on a work team at least once in their lifetime.
